On September 26, Port leaders and Commissioners gathered to celebrate the official opening of the Port of Seattle Fire Department’s second station. This building is located on the west side of the airfield and houses two ARFF (aircraft rescue fire fighting) vehicles manned by four firefighters and one captain. The location of these resources better facilitates response times for potential aircraft emergencies.
